We are saddened by the passing of Kilic Uyanik, our esteemed colleague who worked with Omrania through a key period of growth and development starting in the 1980s. As a Chief Architect-Planner at Omrania, Mr. Uyanik participated in many of the company’s major residential, corporate, academic, and health care development projects in the Middle East and Great Britain.
We are saddened by the passing of Kilic Uyanik, our esteemed colleague who worked with Omrania through a key period of growth and development starting in the 1980s. As a Chief Architect-Planner at Omrania, Mr. Uyanik participated in many of the company’s major residential, corporate, academic, and health care development projects in the Middle East and Great Britain.
Mr. Uyanik began his career in his native Turkey. He graduated from the Faculty of Architecture of the Middle East Technical University in Ankara in 1969, then worked on various large-scale housing and other development projects throughout the 1970s, honing his creative design skills.
In 1980 he joined Omrania’s office in London. In his first decade at Omrania he contributed to the Radwa 4 Residential Area in Yanbu, the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Headquartersin Riyadh, renovation of 4 Millbank, a prestigious office building near the Houses of Parliament, the Kingdom Compound, and the Saudi Arabian Standards Organization (SASO) Complex and several community development projects.
In the 1990s Mr. Uyanik was based in the company’s home offices in Riyadh where he participated in the successful development of major projects in Riyadh such as the GOSI Business Park, Chinese Embassy, the Saudi Agricultural Bankand the Kingdom Hospital among many others.
Over more than three decades of service to Omrania, Mr. Uyanik helped the firm win numerous international competitions and cement its reputation in Saudi Arabia and beyond. We will always remember and honor him for his dedication and expertise.
