Omrania at Big 5 Construct Saudi 2026: Exploring Design Leadership at Scale

Recently, Omrania had the pleasure of participating in the Big 5 Construct Saudi – Architecture Leaders Forum 2026 in Riyadh. Representing the firm, Mai Jaber, Design Manager at Omrania, took part in a high-level panel discussion titled “Design leadership at scale: Architects as influencers of complex developments,” moderated by Siddharth Peters from Love That Design.

During the session, Mai, Nathan Hones ( Chief Operating Officer & Partner at Carter Hones Associates), Isabelle McKinnon (Director of Architecture and Head of Design Guardianship – Gerber Architekten International GmbH), and Eng. Abdulmohain Almulhem (Director of Regional Initiatives – Sharqia Development Authority) explored how architects can maintain design integrity while leading multidisciplinary teams on large-scale projects. The discussion delved into the balance between creative vision and practical execution, the evolving role of architects in shaping city-scale developments, and how collaborative processes can uphold design quality across complex contexts.

The exchange of ideas underscored the importance of leadership that bridges design excellence with strategic foresight, highlighting how architects today influence not only form and space but also culture, performance, and urban identity.

We are proud to have contributed to a conversation that continues to advance the discourse on responsible design leadership and the collective shaping of our built environment.

Omrania is proud to have contributed to this thoughtful conversation on the future of design leadership and its impact on meaningful, context-driven architecture.
