Ajmal Abdul Vakeel, Principal Electrical Engineer at Omrania, represented the firm at the 2nd Edition of the Lighting Innovation Summit in Riyadh, organized by WorldLink Conferences. He joined a distinguished panel discussion titled “Smart City Lighting – Connecting Technology, People, and Public Spaces.”
The conversation explored how intelligent lighting systems are shaping more connected, energy-efficient, and people-centric urban environments. Moderated by Ahmad Kotbi, Chair of Lighting Design at the Saudi Umran Society, the panel also featured Zuhair Ashrafieh, Shoeb Undre, Mohammed Zahid Khan, and Mohammed Altwaijry, who collectively examined the intersection of lighting design, energy performance, and digital transformation in shaping smarter cities.
