Arab Hindawi Represented Omrania and Egis at the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) UAE Learned Event

Recently, we proudly participated in the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) UAE Learned Event held in Dubai, where Arab Hindawi, Deputy Head of the Infrastructure Department, joined the panel discussion on “Bridging Communities Through Mobility Solutions.” Arab contributed to an engaging dialogue on advancing urban connectivity and sustainable infrastructure, highlighting the importance of collaboration across disciplines and regions.

This edition of the Beyond Engineering Lecture Series focused on practical strategies for human-centric mobility and how resilient, inclusive transport infrastructure can support the Middle East’s rapid growth. Panellists examined lessons from Dubai’s transit evolution, discussed the climate and social impacts of regional networks, and explored solutions like integrated ticketing, Mobility as a Service, and user-first planning, showcasing the value of clear governance and measurable outcomes for both reliability and access.

Arab addressed actionable approaches to transform fast-growing cities, citing the need for purposeful collaboration among industry, government, and academia and emphasizing how adaptive frameworks can turn innovation into everyday improvements for commuters and communities. She emphasized highlighting the Middle East’s rapid transport infrastructure transformation driven by PPPs. She also shed light on Riyadh’s Vision 2030 King Salman Park, showcasing future multimodal mobility networks.
