Invited to speak at one of the region’s most important conferences on real estate and development, Omrania’s Chief Interior Designer, Oleg Cosneanu, offered insights on the future of the hospitality industry in Saudi Arabia.

“What is shaping the future of the hospitality industry?” Oleg Cosneanu, Chief Interior Designer at Omrania, addressed this question in his presentation at the Real Estate Development (RED) Summit Middle East on 24 November 2021. Cosneanu took part in the expert panel discussion moderated by Jason Addison, Chief Strategy and Partnerships Officer at the Events Investment Fund.

Hosted at the Crowne Plaza Dubai, the two-day RED summit provided an opportunity for leaders in business, government, and design to share ideas on the future of development across all sectors. The VIP event included 245 attendees and 20 speakers. Presentation topics included commercial and residential real estate development, the hospitality industry, smart construction technology, urban master planning, building information modeling, and the significance of big data in architecture.

Mr. Cosneanu was invited to represent Omrania during the first panel event of the summit. Drawing on Omrania’s extensive work in the hospitality industry and other sectors, Mr. Cosneanu touched on four themes that he sees as crucial to the future of Saudi hospitality development: local context, people, uniqueness, and Saudi Visions.

He linked these four themes to some of the bold and exciting hospitality development projects currently underway in the Kingdom, from NEOM and the Red Sea Project to heritage sites like Al Ula and Diriyah Gate, and urban attractions like Qiddiyah and King Salman Park in Riyadh.

Keynote speakers at the summit included Justin Wells, CEO of Wells International; Faisal Durrani, Partner at Knight Frank; Hesham Elabd, Procurement Advisor for the Royal Commission of Riyadh City; and BIM expert Wajdi Mereb.
