Mahmoud Abughazal, Corporate Architectural Director at Omrania, recently participated in a session on “Designing for Local Impact: Integrating Local Materials in Design” as part of the MUSAHAMADesignCompetition by Public Investment Fund (PIF) and ROSHN.
The session highlighted the significance of incorporating local materials to create architecture that reflects Saudi identity and promotes sustainable design practices.
Throughout the discussion, strategies were shared for effectively integrating local resources, supported by real-world examples from projects at Omrania.
This initiative encourages young architects and designers to engage deeply with local content, fostering a deeper understanding of the intersection between culture and design.
