Recently, we had the pleasure of participating in the Smart Built Environment Forum (SBEF) KSA 2025 at the Riyadh Marriott, where Antoine Abou Slaiby, Head of Digital Delivery at Omrania, represented the firm as a panelist in a high-level discussion on the future of intelligent buildings. Bringing together leaders from across the built environment, the forum provided a focused platform to explore how digital innovation is advancing operational performance in line with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030.
Antoine joined a panel on the role of BIM in leveraging data analytics, AI, and digital twins to enable smarter, more resilient buildings and portfolios. The discussion examined how integrated digital ecosystems support smarter decision-making, from day-to-day operations to long-term asset strategies.

Key themes included the use of BIM-driven data models to improve asset management, predictive maintenance, and lifecycle performance. Panelists highlighted how accurate, connected data streams can reduce downtime, enhance user comfort, and support continuous improvement across complex building portfolios.
Antoine shared practical perspectives from Omrania’s multidisciplinary projects, emphasizing collaborative workflows and digital platforms that reduce decision-making errors and streamline coordination between stakeholders. These insights illustrated how structured information management can align project teams, operators, and owners around shared performance targets and measurable outcomes.
The conversation also underscored how sustainability targets and cost-efficiency are converging, with digital tools enabling strategies that cut operational expenditure while reducing environmental impact. By linking performance analytics with ESG-focused decision-making, the panel framed intelligent buildings as a key enabler for value creation and long-term resilience in the Kingdom’s evolving urban landscape.
