The Western Station of the Riyadh Metro continues to take shape on its 11.7-ha site. The progress on the steel structure will allow for the installation of the building enclosure and systems in the coming months.

Construction is advancing steadily on the Western Station of the new Riyadh Metro, a 110,000-square-metre transit center and community hub designed by #Omrania. The steel framing of the main station is has taken shape. Soon the arched structures will receive their paneled roof system and the adjacent mosque will be completed. Take a look at how the two volumes of the main station come closer together as they rise above the tracks, creating a shaded “dune canyon” effect along the future platform. Thanks to our client, the Arriyadh Development Authority, and the team of consultants and contractor for working hard to bring this design to fruition.
