The Omrania ‘family’ of directors, colleagues, and staff came together at the Hyatt Regency Riyadh Olaya to share a banquet in observance of Ramadan and a celebration of teamwork.
Approximately 250 members and guests attended Omrania’s annual corporate Iftar and dinner party on the evening of Tuesday, 21 May 2019. It was an elegant occasion to share in the ceremonial breaking of the Ramadan fast, celebrate recent milestones, and discuss the important work to be done in the year ahead.
The pleasant evening began with the traditional prayer and Iftar banquet at 6:32 pm. Following a brief introduction, Basem Al-Shihabi, the Managing Director of Omrania, welcomed everyone and spoke about the continuing importance of teamwork and excellence as the company prepares to launch a series of major new projects.
A brief ceremony recognized the contributions of staff who have served Omrania for 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, and 35 years, a testament to the company’s invaluable human resources across many different departments and areas of expertise.
Abdulsalam Al-Haddad, Director of Marketing & Business Development, presented the latest information and videos on new and exciting milestones for Omrania this year, including:
• King Salman Park, a 13.3-square-kilometer park and green district to be developed in Riyadh, for which Omrania is the lead design consultant.
• KAAR Gateway, a mixed-use development situated at the head of the King Abdul Aziz Road (KAAR) urban development corridor in Makkah, for which Omrania is the lead architect and engineer.
• A new, expanded Omrania engineering office specializing in MEP and building systems engineering, to accommodate the continued growth and development of this important department.
Finally, the program concluded with a friendly challenge: a raffle with seven prize questions.
Mr. Shihabi and the Omrania Board of Directors thank all who attended and look forward to continued progress in the year to come.
